Over Christmas and New Year many of Council's offices and services will be affected by closures or a change in opening hours.

Over Christmas and New Year many of Council’s offices and services will be affected by closures or a change in opening hours.
Bega Office
Council's Bega office will close on Tuesday 24 December at 3.00pm and reopen on Thursday 2 January at 9.00am. The after-hours telephone will be staffed for emergencies, please call 6499 2222.
Waste Services
All tips will be closed Christmas Day only. Otherwise, tips are open as usual over the holiday period. Check operating hours here or on the Bega Valley Waste App.
Household bin collections will happen as normal.
Children’s Services
- Bandara Preschool closes at 12 noon on Friday 20 December and reopens at 8:00am on Tuesday 28 January.
- Bandara Long Day Care closes at 12 noon on Friday 20 December and reopens at 7:45am on Tuesday 14 January.
- Bandara Afterschool Care closes at 5:45pm on Wednesday 18 December and reopens on Wednesday 29 January.
- Eden Preschool closes at 12 noon on Friday 20 December and reopens at 8:00am on Tuesday 28 January.
- Eden Long Day Care closes at 12 noon on Friday 20 December and reopens at 7:30am on Tuesday 14 January.
- Sapphire Mobile Preschool closes at 3:00pm on Friday 20 December and reopens at 9:00am on Wednesday 29 January.
Bega Valley Shire Libraries
All libraries at Bermagui, Bega, Tura Marrang and Eden will close at 3.00pm on Tuesday 24 December and will reopen on Friday 3 January at 9.30am.
The School Holiday Program for kids, including the Summer Reading Club will run at all four libraries and boasts a variety of entertaining activities throughout January. More details and bookings here.
Bega Valley Regional Gallery
Currently showing Weapons For The Solider, the Gallery will close at 4.00pm on Tuesday 24 December to reopen at 10.00am on Thursday 2 January 2020.
School holiday workshops for kids will run at the Gallery in January – more information here.
Bega Valley Regional Learning Centre, Merimbula
The Centre will close at 3.00pm on Tuesday 24 December and reopen on Thursday 2 January at 8.30am.
Swimming Pools
Council managed pools will close at 5.00pm on Tuesday 24 December, close Christmas Day and reopen on 26 December. Please check with your local pool for public holiday opening hours or Council’s website .
Bega Valley Commemorative Civic Centre
The Civic Centre will close on Friday 20 December at 3.00pm and reopen on Monday 13 January 2020.
Bega Valley Support Services
Tathra and District Bushfire Recovery Support will be closed from Tuesday 24 December with normal hours resuming from 9.00am on Thursday 2 January.
