Development Proposal - Merimbula - DA 2025.11

An application has been received to develop land at Imlay Street, Market Street, Short Street, Kiama Place, Tern Close and Lakewood Drive, Merimbula for the purpose of demolition and reconstruction of Merimbula Boardwalk and pathway.


Council has received an application seeking approval to develop land as follows:

The application and plans relating to the development are available on Council’s website Application Tracker at www.begavalley.nsw.gov.au, for a period of 28 days from 07 April 2025 to 08 May 2025 (excluding Public Holidays).

Under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009, copies of your submission can be made publicly available. You can request that your name and address not be disclosed by writing ‘OBJECTION IN CONFIDENCE’ on your submission, however we may still be obliged to release these details. Submissions that do not contain the author’s name and address may not be considered, as we will be unable to validate their authenticity.

INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT
Under the provisions of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 this development is classed as ‘Integrated’ which means that approval is also required from:

       NSW Heritage

  • A permit is required in accordance with the provisions of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1997.

       NSW Department of Primary Industries (Fisheries)

  • A permit is required under the Fisheries Management Act 1994.
