Bega Valley Shire Council advises works to replace Murrabrine Lane Bridge in Cobargo with a new single-lane concrete bridge will commence from Thursday 3 April, weather permitting. The project is expected to take three and a half months to complete.
The upgrade will enhance road user safety, resilience to natural disasters, improve traffic flow and reduce future maintenance needs.
Contractors will be constructing the bridge adjacent to the existing bridge. Road users will have access via the existing bridge for the duration of the works.
A reduced speed limit will be in place.
The project is funded by the Transport for NSW Fixing Country Bridges Program.
Council thanks the community for its patience and understanding while works are under way to upgrade this vital infrastructure.
