NDIS

Bega Valley Shire Council has been providing disability services to residents of the Shire since 1992.

Our team has extensive local knowledge. We specialise in coordinating services for people living with a disability who have complex needs and want greater independence.

We can assist if you:

  • have an approved NDIS plan
  • are aged up to 64
  • live in the Bega Valley Shire
  • have Support Coordination or Plan Management (financial intermediary services) in your NDIS plan

Local Support Services

  • Community Transport: uses volunteer drivers to transport the frail aged and people with a disability to medical appointments, shopping and social events. 6492 4188 www.bvcts.com.au
  • ComPacks provides up to 6 weeks of co-ordinated services to assist a person return home safely after discharge from a participating NSW public hospital.   • Home Modifications: service for people who are frail aged, people who have a disability and their carers to assist by constructing access ramps, installing grabrails, handrails and other bathroom modifications etc. 6492 3756
  • Karanya Uniting Care Community Care: services focus on enabling, empowering and promoting independence so people can remain active members of their community. Packages can include domestic personal assistance and case management, respite care, assistive equipment and home modifications. 1800 486 484
  • Meals on Wheels Plus: Food services for frail aged or people with a disability, including home delivered meals, frozen food, centre-based meals at a minimal cost. Other services include Neighbour Aid, Flexible Respite Care, Veterans Community Support Service, Senior's Social clubs.   • Merimbula Home Nursing Service/Eurobodalla Nursing Service: provides nursing, respite, and in-home support services. 6495 3939
