Bega Valley Shire Council advises works to upgrade Bermagui Indoor Sports Stadium will commence on Tuesday 27 January and is expected to be completed by early May.

Contractors will be carrying out the works which include multiple upgrades such as accessible amenities and access to the site, kitchen upgrades and installation of a new roof over the amenities, kitchen and gym building. Contractors will also be upgrading the basketball and court infrastructure and repainting the floor surface for multiple sporting codes.

These enhancements aim to better serve activities such as basketball, wheelchair basketball, pickleball, netball, badminton, karate, fitness classes and community events.

This project follows significant work already completed in 2023, when the building’s exterior was upgraded, which involved replacing the louvre windows, structural steel repairs, and roof sheeting and guttering system upgrades.

Additional funds were secured in 2024 through the NSW Government Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund to complete the internal fit-out.

The stadium will be closed for the duration of the works.

We thank the Bermagui Indoor Stadium Committee and the community for their support and patience while these important works are undertaken.
