Bega Library provides Hackathon demo night

Friday 30 October 2015

Bega Valley Shire Library together with IntoIT and CoWS are holding ‘What the Hack?’ - a Hackathon information and demo evening at Bega Library on Thursday 12 November.

The Hackathon is a competition where teams create a product focused on technology to win prizes.

The evening will give Hackathon participants the opportunity to find out more about the event and see examples of previous Hackathon projects.

Library’s Programs and Partnership Officer, Scott Baker, said IntoIT and CoWs are turning the South Coast into a technology hotspot and the Hackathon is one of the major events.

“We are proud to facilitate a Hackathon information and demo evening at Bega Library for people wanting to know more about the event on the 21 and 22 November.

“We will have the organisers for a Q & A session, some examples of previous Hackathon entries, previous entrants who will share their experiences and of course free pizza,” he said.

‘What the Hack’ will be held at Bega library from 5.30pm on Thursday 12 November.
