The playground at Bega Park will open to the public on Thursday (Christmas Eve) thanks to the contractors who worked through the inclement weather to install furniture and rubber soft fall and complete necessary landscaping this week.
Repairs to the boundary fence and planting of garden beds will be done early in the New Year.
The playground was designed with inclusiveness in mind and has improved access features such as a connecting path from Parker Street, Bega.
Boat swings, a multi-play climbing unit, rocker, sand play areas and a low level slide that utilises the changes in site levels are complimented by landscaping using logs and rocks as natural balance items and park furniture and Bega Valley Shire Council encourages the community to explore and enjoy the interactive space.
