Development Proposal - Wolumla- DA 2023.351

An application has been received to develop land at Mine Lane, Wolumla for the Concept Master Plan for the Wolumla Estate Project Area – Stage 1, 175 Lots.


Council has received an application seeking approval to develop land as follows:

  • DA No.:  2023.351
  • Applicant: The Trustee for EAS Investment Trust
  • Consent Authority: Southern Regional Planning Panel
  • Description of Land: Lot: 2 DP: 1287077 - 22 Mine Lane WOLUMLA
  • Description of Proposal: Concept Master Plan for the Wolumla Estate Project Area – Stage 1, 175 Lots
  • Responsible Council Officer: FM Steward

The application and plans relating to the development are available on Council’s website Application Tracker at www.begavalley.nsw.gov.au, for a period of 28 days from 18 April 2024 to 20 May 2024 (excluding Public Holidays).

Under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009, copies of your submission can be made publicly available. You can request that your name and address not be disclosed by writing ‘OBJECTION IN CONFIDENCE’ on your submission, however we may still be obliged to release these details. Submissions that do not contain the author’s name and address may not be considered, as we will be unable to validate their authenticity.

If you make a submission you are required to disclose information about any political donations or gifts. INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT
Under the provisions of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 this development is classed as ‘Integrated’ which means that approval is also required from:

  • A S.100B Authority is required from NSW RFS under the Rural Fires Act 1997.
  • A permit is required from NSW Heritage under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974.
  • Approval is required from DPE Water under the Water Management Act 2000.

THREATENED SPECIES DEVELOPMENT

A Biodiversity Assessment Report (BDAR) has been submitted with this application as the development triggers the Biodiversity Offset Scheme under the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016.
