Towards 2042

Background

Welcome to the Towards 2042 community strategic plan consultation! Let’s work together to capture a future vision that reflects our unique local area and lifestyle.

Through the Towards 2042 consultation, Council will work with you to have important discussions on the main ideas and priorities for our local government area. Your feedback will inform a number of critical plans for Council over the next 20 years, which will be documented in a Community Strategic Plan (CSP).

The Community Strategic Plan is a high level strategic document. Every project planned and executed by Council and every Community Project Proposal falls under and is guided by the CSP.

Council has a custodial role in initiating and preparing the Community Strategic Plan, but it is a community plan. Many partners, including community groups and state agencies , will be responsible for its implementation. The Community Strategic Plan ensures the whole community can contribute and work towards a shared vision for a better future.

Have Your Say information

Towards 2042 asks you some key questions, focusing on where we are now, where we want to be, how we will get there, and how we will know if we’ve been successful.

There are plenty of ways that you can get involved:

  • Attend a community pop up at one of our local markets
  • Drop into your local library and complete a survey
  • Complete the short online survey - Only 6 minutes are needed for the survey.
Hard copy surveys are available from Council's customer service team at Zingel Place in Bega and all libraries.

Forward to a friend, so they can have a say too!

You can also leave a comment at the bottom of this page.

Survey closes Friday 13 August 2021
