Greenshoots is an umbrella program for environmental restoration works in partnership with local communities.
The program focuses on revegetating chosen localities for the benefit of the environment, ecosystem, water catchment and the community’s recovery following the bushfires. Quaama and Kiah areas are the initial focus for Greenshoots 2021 due to their environmental significance as key catchment areas.
The core of the program is to bring the community together to identify environmentally significant areas that can be focussed on now and into the future, learn more about their local environment and be actively involved in their local environments’ recovery and restoration.
