Consultants, Spiire will be conducting key stakeholder meetings and on site ‘listening posts’ early in March as the next phase in Council’s Coastal Master Planning Projects at Bruce Steer Pool in Bermagui, Short Point in Merimbula and the Pambula Surf Club Precinct.
These events will be held onsite and come on the back of close to 200 people having their say on the future of these destinations in an online survey.
The Pambula Surf Club Precinct listening post will now run from 3pm to 6pm.
Leisure and Recreation Coordinator, Justin Welsford said that providing the conditions for strong stakeholder engagement is a real focus for both Council and Spiire and following on from the strong response to the online survey they have a keen interest in keeping the momentum going.
“The listening posts are a great opportunity for people drop in and discuss their ideas and proposals for the sites directly with the consultants.
“The Master Plans will establish a clear direction and framework for ongoing improvements and identify how the sites should look and function into the future.
“Being public assets we see constructive community input and feedback at this planning stage as vital in being able to best meet community needs and expectations and in turn gain the best possible results,” he said.
