The federal government is focused on connecting people, communities, primary producers and businesses with the services and assistance they may need to rebuild and recover to support the recovery of all Australians.
National Bushfire Recovery Agency
The National Bushfire Recovery Agency was established to lead and coordinate a national response to rebuilding communities affected by bushfires across large parts of Australia.
Business hotline for financial support
If your small business has been affected by the bushfires, free help is available from a financial counsellor through the Small Business Bushfire Financial Support Line on 1800 413 828.
Small business financial counsellors that are part of this service are qualified professionals who provide advice to small business owners and sole traders in financial difficulty. Their services are non-judgmental, free, independent and confidential.
Mental health and wellbeing
Caring for the mental health and wellbeing of our business community is our key concern in all our economic recovery activities. But, we need your help. Whether it’s taking care of yourself, checking in on your staff, or looking out for your neighbouring businesses, rebuilding our economic resilience can only happen by rebuilding our own. Speak to your trusted medical practitioner or alternatively, you might find what you are looking for on the beyond blue website.
