Locals and visitors are reminded they have until January 27 2016 to participate in the initial online survey stage of Council’s Coastal Parkland Planning projects at Bruce Steer Pool area at Bermagui, Short Point in Merimbula and the Pambula Surf Club Precinct.
Council have engaged consultants Spiire to develop master plans for the sites with a view to them becoming more inclusive and accessible recreational spaces.
While there are similarities in the sites each area is also unique and locals and visitors alike are strongly encouraged to provide their thoughts and give feedback on how they would like these sites to look and function in the future.
Leisure and Recreation Coordinator Justin Welsford said while by the initial response to the survey has been encouraging, Council and Spiire are very interested to hear from as many people as possible throughout the process to ensure the best possible result can be achieved moving forward.
“The survey only takes a few minutes to complete and while there will be other opportunities for the community to participate in the master planning projects it is a good opportunity to be engaged from the earliest opportunity,” Mr Welsford said.
To participate in the survey go to Council’s website www.begavalley.nsw.gov.au
