Sustainability Grants

Sustainable Living is one of our communities’ priorities and aspirations for the future (Bega Valley Shire Community Strategic Plan 2040). To reach these aspirational goals, successful delivery relies on the development of partnerships between Council and other parties to implement strategies. The Councils Community Grants program has been developed to support connections between the council and community groups and not-for-profits to work together to achieve our communities’ goals.

Community Environmental Grants

Goal: Our air and water is pristine and our natural environment and rural landscapes are protected.

We love our natural environment: the coast, waterways, trees, wildlife and clean fresh air. We want to protect the quality of our natural environment through better land and water quality management, eliminate littering and improve weed and pest control.

The Community Environmental Grants support community groups that care for and enhance the natural environment.

Waste Community Assistance Grants

Goal: We are leaders in sustainable living and support innovative approaches to resource recovery and the production of renewable energy and food

The Community Waste Grants encourage collaboration with partners in our community to support innovative approaches to waste minimisation, and increase reuse and recycling opportunities.
