Commercial Land Strategy Stakeholder Workshops

Council has engaged consultants to produce a Commercial Land Strategy that addresses future land use requirements to meet the daily, weekly and occasional needs for goods and services of our community and visitors as well as the industries that will provide economic development and employment opportunities into the future.

The Strategy will be developed in partnership with key stakeholders including the community, chambers of commerce, owners of commercial land, business owners and the property industry. It will build upon visioning exercises that have been carried out by these groups and for Council’s Community Strategic Plan 2040.

Members of the community are invited to submit an Expression of Interest to attend one of the six scheduled workshops to provide input into the development of the Commercial Land Strategy. The aim of the workshops is to establish an agreed framework for the future development of our town centres using contemporary planning principles that have been successful in creating vibrant and energetic places here in Australia and overseas.

The workshops will be independently facilitated and are capped at 12 participants per session.
