Bega Valley Shire Council advises site clearing works have commenced on Upper Brogo Road, approximately 8 kilometres from the Princes Highway intersection, in preparation for much-needed embankment restoration after the March 2022 flood event.

Local contractors will construct a retaining wall to stabilize the embankment and restore the road.

Works are expected to commence from early to mid-September and finish by mid-November, weather permitting.

Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time and expect average delays of at least 15 minutes.

Updates will be provided to residents on further expected delays when pipes will be installed beneath the road.

This project is jointly funded by the Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
