Bega Valley Shire Council has been providing disability services to residents of the Shire since 1992.

Our team has extensive local knowledge. We specialise in coordinating services for people living with a disability who have complex needs and want greater independence.

We can assist if you:

  • have an approved NDIS plan
  • are aged up to 64
  • live in the Bega Valley Shire
  • have Support Coordination or Plan Management (financial intermediary services) in your NDIS plan

Local Support Services

  • Community Transport: uses volunteer drivers to transport the frail aged and people with a disability to medical appointments, shopping and social events. 6492 4188
  • ComPacks provides up to 6 weeks of co-ordinated services to assist a person return home safely after discharge from a participating NSW public hospital. Referrals are required to be completed by hospital staff
  • Connections Plus/Respite Care Bega Valley: Respite care for people with disabilities, social support services, community participation, supported accommodation housing, day program and living skills program  6495 3797
  • Flexibility Plus (Anglicare): provides support for people with a disability or dementia and their families, including flexible respite care, innovative case management and brokerage. 0428 234 075
  • Home Modifications: service for people who are frail aged, people who have a disability and their carers to assist by constructing access ramps, installing grabrails, handrails and other bathroom modifications etc. 6492 3756
  • Karanya Uniting Care Community Care: services focus on enabling, empowering and promoting independence so people can remain active members of their community. Packages can include domestic personal assistance and case management, respite care, assistive equipment and home modifications. 1800 486 484
  • Meals on Wheels Plus: Food services for frail aged or people with a disability, including home delivered meals, frozen food, centre-based meals at a minimal cost. Other services include Neighbour Aid, Flexible Respite Care, Veterans Community Support Service, Senior's Social clubs. Shopping bus service from Bemboka, Candelo and Bermagui. 6492 4146
  • Merimbula Home Nursing Service/Eurobodalla Nursing Service: provides nursing, respite, and in-home support services. 6495 3939
  • Mobility Matters: Hire and sale of rehabilitation, mobility and lifestyle equipment. Includes wheelchairs, crutches, electric scooters, lift chairs, daily living aids, hospital beds and pressure care mattresses. Delivery available. 6492 3888
  • Multicultural Disability Advocacy Association: provides independent advocacy for people with disability. 6492 0200
  • Nardy House: Permanent accommodation for six people with profound disabilities plus six 24 hour/7 day a week planned and crisis specialised respite catering for people with very high physical support needs. 6493 8120
  • Sapphire Coast Community Aged Care: in-home aged care services. 6492 7777
  • Sapphire Support Services: provides respite services, domestic assistance, childcare and supported holidays for all ages and abilities on the Far South Coast. 0413 136 006
  • Tulgeen Group: provides a range of employment, in-home support, and education services to people with a disability 6499 0800
  • Twofold Aboriginal Corporation: assists Koori people in the HACC target group, such as the frail elderly and disabled, younger disabled and their carers. Provides Community Education, Meals-On-Wheels, Neighbour Aid, Respite Care and other support services. 6495 6343
  • Weija Aboriginal Home Care: provides help to Aboriginal people with a disability and older Aboriginal people to help them remain independent in their own home.  Also provides respite support to the carers of Aboriginal people. 1300 797 606
