Tiega Williams-Orr (above) is a life coach and the founder of By Tiega, based in Bermagui.
A Bega Valley local, Tiega has dedicated the past 10 years to learning about the human mind and body, studying and practising personal training, life coaching, marketing and nutrition.
Despite experiencing the impacts of the Black Summer bushfires and then COVID, Tiega worked hard to develop her online platform and business.
However, her financials were in a bit of a mess - literally in a shoebox - and she knew she needed some help.
Tiega sought the help of Business Support Group member, REWiRE and subsequently worked with business coach and financial counsellor, Simone Eyles.
REWiRE is about understanding business finance and forward financial planning, so businesses can survive turbulent times and thrive.
Simone provided financial administration support and helped Tiega determine where she wanted to be in her business.
Tiega now uses a simple cloud-based system for her administration. No more shoebox accounting for Tiega; she has systems and processes in place to automate the administration of her business.
She has complete visibility over her finances, and clear financial goals and targets to meet and grow her business.
More recently, Tiega has been referred to BSG member, Kaye Keogh from the Australian Small Business Advisory Service for free digital advice and support.
Tiega understands small business and is keen to support local businesses during these tough times, with inhouse professional development workshops and useful resources.
BSG members support local businesses with important skills and knowledge that sit outside day-to-day business operations, yet are imperative to running a successful business.
