Notice of proposed road closing - Boydtown

In pursuance of the provisions of the Roads Act 1993, notice is hereby given that Bega Valley Shire Council proposes to close a section of Ben Boyd Parade adjoining Lot 44 DP 716162.


PROPOSED ROAD CLOSING UNDER SECTION 38B ROADS ACT 1993

In pursuance of the provisions of the Roads Act 1993, notice is hereby given that Bega Valley Shire Council proposes to close a section of Ben Boyd Parade adjoining Lot 44 DP 716162.  The below diagram identifies the Council public road in red proposed for closure. The proposed closure aims to meet NSW Rural Fire Service access requirements and maintain bushfire access. Finalisation of the road closure process will be subject to the reopening of Ben Boyd Parade in the new location as Council public road reserve as outlined in the second diagram.

All interested persons are hereby invited to make submissions concerning the proposal to the Chief Executive Officer, Bega Valley Shire Council, PO Box 492, BEGA NSW 2550, or via email to council@begavalley.nsw.gov.au by 4:30pm Wednesday 30 October 2024. Please note that under the provisions of the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009, such submissions may be referred to third parties for consideration.

Once the submission period is completed, Bega Valley Shire Council will consider all duly made submissions before deciding whether to continue with the road closure proposal.
