Got a post-spring-cleaning mess? Bega Valley Shire Council just dropped a fresh batch of free waste vouchers to rescue you.

Before you hit the road with your trailer and smartphone vouchers, pause and consider separating the recyclables and reusables from the landfill-bound items.
Separating is good for the planet and your wallet because dropping off recyclables is always free – no voucher needed.
Unearthed some goodies in your spring clean? Think old bikes usable and furniture – they might have a second life in the community and may be suitable for our transfer station reuse shops. Talk to our friendly gatehouse staff for advice.
Once you've sorted, redeem those vouchers. Each one lets you drop off half a cubic metre of household waste or a full cubic metre of garden waste. Nothing to drop off? Use your voucher to pick up a cubic metre of FOGO compost instead.
A single waste voucher can also be used to drop off big items like couches, fridges, or mattresses.
Sharing is caring – screen share any valid and unused waste vouchers with friends, family, or neighbours. With summer upon us, it's a great way to help other people be bushfire prepared.
Free waste vouchers are available on the Bega Valley Waste App – they pop up automatically if you're already signed up for electronic vouchers. Not big on tech? No hassle. Those people who signed up for traditional paper vouchers will be receiving them in the mail shortly.
Bega Valley ratepayers receive four free waste vouchers per year, per property. Two are made available in December and another two in July. We encourage landlords to screen share vouchers with tenants.
