Bega Valley Youth Forum
Youth passion and ideas for change were given voice at this one day gathering held in Bega in May 2022.
The Bega Valley Youth Forum was a one-day ideas generation gathering for around 120 young people keen to make the Bega Valley a better place to live.
It was held at the Bega Valley Commemorative Civic Centre and Littleton Gardens on Friday 27 May 2022.
The Forum was a series of workshops aimed at beginning to create real world solutions to issues impacting the lives of youth across the shire. It was Part One of a two-part youth-led Youth Speak package of initiatives supported by Bega Valley Shire Council. Part Two of Youth Speak is the Future Shaper program, turning ideas into real and meaningful improvements for youth in the region.
The young people who attended the Forum say the event created a strong sense of community and empowerment, giving them a real opportunity to have a voice and an impact.
