Bega Valley Shire Council will invite three local building companies to submit offers to do the fit-out of the new Council Chamber in the Bega Civic Centre because no submissions were received when tenders were invited.
Councils Group Manager of transport and Utilities, Wayne Sartori, advised that although there were 19 documents issued during the tender period, no tenders were received.
He said that to provide best value for money and to ensure that Bega Civic Centre is operational within the timeframe, Council should call selective tenders from known local contractors suitably qualified to carry out this work.
Councillors resolved to take fresh offers from Grant Dowdle Building Pty Ltd, David Lesser Building Pty Ltd and GJ & C Clarke Building Pty Ltd.
