This grant program has now closed. The notification process will take place mid October 2019.
In 2019/20 council has a limited budget of $45,000 to allocate towards Festivals and Events and $30,000 towards Waste Wise Events Grants. As a result not all applications are guaranteed to receive funding. Funds are for Festivals and Events held between 1 July 2019 – 30 June 2020.
Major events in NSW have reduced what goes to landfill by 75% through recycling cardboard, paper, food and drink containers, as well as composting. The Waste Wise event grants program is part of our commitment to support our community in our ongoing efforts to reduce what goes into landfill in the Bega Valley.
Simply apply for a Waste Wise Event Grant in the same application as your Festivals and Events Grant.
Early planning is important to the success of your festival or event. In order for Council to provide a smooth application process and to avoid disappointment, please allow a minimum of 6 months for any additional approvals required. For example; Use of Public Land, Development Application, Traffic Control Management Plan and Road Closure.
