Kalaru Village Upgrade

Infrastructure upgrades in the Kalaru village including shared path construction, stormwater upgrade, concrete kerb and gutter, road pavement stabilisation and reseal.


Project Summary/background

The proposed construction will provide a safe path of travel for pedestrians and cyclist throughout the village of Kalaru, with the addition of a shared path from Old Wallagoot Road through to Armstrong Drive.

The design has taken into consideration the entire scope of Kalaru village, addressing stormwater issues, road pavement failures and pedestrian safety concerns raised by the community.

The recent developments within Kalaru have seen the population in the village boom which has highlighted the need for infrastructure improvements to occur and the amenity of the main street to be improved.

Purpose

The main purposes of the project are to:

  • Provide a safe path of travel for pedestrians and cyclists through Kalaru.
  • Improve stormwater drainage issues with improved kerb, gutter and pipes.
  • Improve the road conditions by stabilizing the underlying pavement and sealing the surface.

  • NSW Government Block Grant
