Lodge a Development Application (including modifications and reviews with Council online using the NSW Planning Portal.
The DA Process page outlines steps to apply for a Development Application (DA) with Bega Valley Shire Council. DAs must be lodged online using the NSW Planning Portal.
Create an account on the NSW Planning Portal
Go to the NSW Planning Portal and complete the online application for a Development Application (New DA, Mod, Review).

The 'Documents Required' tab outlines the documentation that is required to be submitted with your application.
A planning officer will review the DA to ensure it has sufficient information and documentation for Council to accept.
If further information or clarification is required, the officer will contact the applicant.
When the application has been reviewed and considered ready for lodgement, a quote will be forwarded to the payee as nominated by the applicant for payment of the associated fees.
Assessment of your application will commence when the fees have been received by Council.
Once fees have been paid, the application will be registered and assessment commenced.
