Bega Valley Shire Council is celebrating International Women’s Day and NSW Women’s Week this year with another evening of true and personal storytelling and live music.

Home Spun will feature stories and songs about what home means to five inspiring women,” Community and Cultural Services Manager, Anne Cleverley said.

“Themes on the night include believing in your dreams, the challenges of migrating to another country, finding connection and the trials and tribulations of building a home.

“Local singer/songwriter, Chelsea Atkins will entertain us on the evening.

“Chelsea is a proud Yamatji Widi, Wongi woman from Western Australia who has been living and working on the NSW south coast on Yuin country for the past 13 years.

“This wonderful celebration of local women is open to everyone; help us support the voices of all women, our connection and our diversity.

“Tickets to Home Spun, at the Bega Valley Commemorative Civic Centre at 6pm on Tuesday 8 March, are available now from the Bega Valley Shire Library website.

“Your ticket includes a drink on arrival and canapes in a cocktail-style setting.”

Home Spun is proudly funded by the NSW Government in association with Bega Valley Shire Council.
