Report a pet missing or found - update your pets details

Every day Council Rangers reunite many lost pets with their owners through our lost and found service.

If your pet is missing, complete the form below, or contact Bega Valley Shire Council on 02 6499 2222, office hours are 9:00am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday and we will help assist in reuniting the pet with you or it’s family. Please have your pets microchip number available when completing this form.

If you have found a cat, dog or any other companion animal who you believe is a stray, you should check whether he or she is wearing a collar and tag.   If you cannot contact the owner you should arrange for the animals to be taken to the council pound, an approved animals welfare organisation (Far South Coast Animal Welfare League) or an veterinary practice, in the town where you found the animal.  The Rangers or veterinary practice can scan the animal for a microchip and make contact with the owner.
