Bega Valley Shire Council will celebrate NSW Women’s Week and International Women’s Day in 2022 with another evening of true and personal storytelling and live music at the Bega Valley Commemorative Civic Centre on the evening of 10 March 2022.

“This year’s Likely Story event was a great success, with storytellers sharing their tales of love, loss, mystery, challenges and adventure on the high seas to a sold-out auditorium,” Council’s Library Services Coordinator, Megan Jordan-Jones said.

“So we’ve decided to repeat the experience and are calling on women across our region to tell their story on the theme of HOME.

“What does home mean to you? Did you leave your homeland to live here? Is home where the heart is?

“If you think you have a story of 10 minutes or less to share, pitch your Home Spun story in a short summary using the library’s online recorder.”

Pitches close 18 January 2022.

For more information, call the library on (02) 6499 2127 or visit the library website where there are also storytelling tips and tricks.
