Bega Valley Shire Council is seeking feedback on its services, facilities and programs through a Community Satisfaction Survey starting today (Monday 15 July) until Friday 2 August.

Independent market research agency, Taverner Research Group will phone a random selection of about 400 residents over the age of 18 years from phone number (02) 4285 4446 during the survey period.

Council’s CEO, Anthony McMahon encourages residents to participate in the survey to help Council assess its performance across a range of measures.

“The survey will take about 15 minutes and participants’ responses will help us identify where we can improve or consider options for more effective service delivery,” Mr McMahon said.

“We want to know if the community is satisfied with specific facilities and services, value for money in infrastructure and services and our overall performance.

“Participants will also be asked what their top priorities for services and infrastructure are, how they would prefer to engage with Council and how they want Council to engage with them.”

Mr McMahon said if residents don’t get a phone call, Council also has an online survey available to anyone who wants to provide feedback.

“Results will be presented to Councillors, staff and the community once the survey and analysis is complete,” Mr McMahon said.

“With a newly elected Council in September, the timing of the survey will ensure Council's actions align with community needs and priorities.”

Taverner Research Group will always identify themselves at the start of the call. They will not ask for information that could be used to identify individuals, nor will they ask for information about money or bank details. Your details and individual responses are confidential.

They will ask for demographic information that helps analysis of the results across ages, living arrangements and localities.

Phone calls will be carried out between 4pm and 8.30pm weekdays and 10am to 4pm on weekends.
