Tony Allen lives at Galba (2km west of Cobargo) and is a fourth-generation dairy farmer. He and his wife Robyn took over the family’s farming responsibilities in 1981. Son Chris also works on the farm with them.
Tony has been on Council for 20 years; seven years as Mayor between 2005 and 2012.
Tony has spent a lifetime on hospital boards, parents and citizens associations and sporting bodies. He has been a member of the Cobargo Showground Trust for about 40 years and chaired the Trust for 20 years.
Tony was the first Life Member of the Group 16 Junior Rugby League and was a referee for many years.
His community interests lie in Black Summer bushfire recovery and resilience, roads, Council finances and capital works programs.
Tony is Chair of the Cobargo Bushfire Resilience Centre Inc.
