NSW Boating Now Program

A State Government funded program to support and enhance the boating experience. Check out the works that will be done in our shire.


Image of boats at Bermagui.NSW Boating Now is the State Government’s $70 million funding program to support initiatives that enhance the boating experience in NSW, including the delivery of recreational boating infrastructure across NSW waterways.

The five year program, administered by Roads and Maritime Services on behalf of Transport for NSW, operates until 2022 and is provided over three rounds.

Round 1 projects

As part of Round 1 Council delivered three projects on behalf Transport for NSW:(Mogareeka Boat Ramp Upgrade and Kianniny Boat Ramp Upgrade in Tathra and Beauty Point Boat Ramp at Bermagui).

Round 2 projects

Council has delivered three projects under Round 2 of the program administered by Transport for NSW (Bermagui River Boat Ramp Upgrade, Bermagui, Blackfellows Lake Boat Ramp Upgrade at Kalaru and Quarantine Bay Pontoon Upgrade at Eden). 

Round 3 projects

Council was awarded funding under Round 3 of the NSW Boating Now Program. The funding is for the upgrade of boat ramps and associated boating facilities at Bermagui Harbour and Pambula Lake at Broadwater.
