The Grants Committee is delegated to allocate grant funding on behalf of Bega Valley Shire Council. The Committee representatives will provide an oversight role with Council staff and relevant technical panel members managing the review and assessment of grant applications.
Section 355 of the NSW Local Government Act (1993) allows Council to delegate certain functions to a ‘Committee of the Council.’ The Grants Committee is chaired by the Mayor and made up of two Councillors, the Director of Business and Governance and a council officer who provides a secretariat function.
The Committee representatives will provide an oversight role with Council staff and relevant technical panel members managing the review and assessment of grant applications.
