David Porter
Councillor

David Porter was born in Bega. He has worked internationally on infrastructure and business re-engineering projects and owned a tourism business.
David has served on the Bega Valley Shire Council since December 2021.
David is trained in commercial operations and negotiation, contract law, cyber security, ISO Quality Standards and public speaking.
He has held positions with Microsoft, Nokia and Tata, and was chair of a global forum focused on ethics and best practices for international telecom carriers.
Locally, David has been involved in Information technology projects such as the rollout of the Flexibus, On Demand Public Transport service for Sapphire Coast Buslines.
He is an active volunteer in local community and sporting organisations, including the Rugby League.
His community Interests lie in infrastructure management, planning, housing affordability, change management, supporting community organisations, community collaboration, service delivery and project management.
David lives in Tathra with his wife, Eva and their children, Daytona and Austin.
