Russell Fitzpatrick

Russell Fitzpatrick was born and raised in Pambula, attending Pambula Primary and Eden High schools.
Serving as a Councillor since November 2009 he held the position of Mayor from 16 September 2021 to the Local Government elections in September 2024. He was re-elected as Mayor for a third term on 1 October 2024.
Russell also serves as the Chair of the Canberra Joint Organisation Executive and is a member of the Country Mayors Association’s NSW Executive Committee.
Additionally, he has been a Board Member of Pambula and District Community Bank (Bendigo Bank Pambula and Bega) since 2010.
Russell is a Life Member of the Merimbula/Pambula Junior Rugby League Club and Group 16 Rugby League, and has served on several boards including the Regional Development Far South Coast Board and the Southern NSW Health District Board.
His community interests lie in affordable housing and community infrastructure.
Russell resides in Pambula with his wife, Kerryann.
