Bega Valley Community Drug Action Team (CDAT)

The Bega Valley Shire Council (BVSC) was a participant in the establishment of, and continues to participate in the Bega Valley Community Drug Action Team.  The BVSC is committed to participating in work that aims to improve the health of people in the local Community.  Consultations undertaken by BVSC have identified a lack of local health services orientated to meet the needs of young people. In particular there is growing concern over the prevalence of drug and alcohol abuse involving young people and a lack of effective interventions available.
