Lawrence Park Sportsground Improvements

Project Summary/background

The Bega Valley Shire Council were successful in receiving funds from the NSW Government under the Stronger Country Communities Fund program (Round 2) to upgrade the sportsground facilities at Lawrence Park, Tathra.


The purpose of this revitalisation project for Lawrence Park, Tathra sportsground is to:

  • Install play equipment in new location
  • Remove existing play equipment and level site for a proposed carparking area
  • Design and install floodlighting for the AFL/Cricket field to training level of 50 lux.
  • Remove existing floodlight poles and redundant infrastructure.
  • Design and construct carparking bays and driveway entrance to improve use of the site and to link pathways to viewing areas and sports pavilion.


Funding received from the NSW Government under the Stronger Country Communities Fund, Round 2. 

Bega Valley Shire Council are also contributing to the overall budget.
