A four million litre water reservoir being built near Bermagui is getting bigger by the day with four sections of concrete now poured.

The reservoir on Nutleys Creek Road is part of Bega Valley Shire Council’s long term water strategy, providing added water security to the Bermagui area and improving water pressures in the township.

Council’s Manager of Water and Sewerage Services, Jim Collins said the new reservoir will lead to the decommissioning of five aging reservoirs and one water pumping station in the Bermagui area.

Mr Collins said the Nutleys Creek Reservoir Project is on schedule, and weather permitting, the construction phase will be finished by Easter 2017.
