Council has released its Summer Program for Kids and Adults which combines events and activities offered by the Bega Valley Shire Library, SECCA and the Bega Valley Commemorative Civic Centre.

Two hard copy brochures – Kids and Adults - are available from all shire libraries, SECCA and the Civic Centre.

The kids program starts on Thursday 19 December with a gingerbread house workshop in the Civic Centre and a Christmas ornament decorating workshop at SECCA.

Twelve other kid-specific events will be held during January, including charcoal drawing, collages, sculpture, Lego, puppets, gel printmaking, story stones and more.

The regular library school term events – Storytime and Rhymetime sessions – will also be held at individual libraries.

The adult program includes Christmas wreath-making, hand-colouring photos, art film screenings, Create & Sip workshops, Canva design, scrapbooking and more.

As part of the Summer Reading Club, 16 golden tickets will be hidden among the adult, youth and children’s book collections in all libraries.

Borrow a book with a golden ticket and you win a prize. Tickets could be in any book so the more you read, the more chances you have to win. Peeking into lots of books won’t help either because they are not visible.

To find out what’s on, get a copy of the brochure to take home or go online to the individual venue websites.
