The Higher School Certificate exams can be a stressful time for students and their parents, so the Bega Valley Shire Library has put together a series of support events we hope will help everyone through this particularly challenging time.

“There’s a whole lot more stress than usual on the shoulders of Year 12 students as they head into their HSC exams,” Council’s Library Services Coordinator, Meg Jordan-Jones.

“The pandemic has introduced further stress with uncertainty around lockdowns, concerns about safety and repeated changes to things like exam timetables.”

Bega Headspace Service Manager, Brianna Van Leeuwen said considering the already difficult circumstances of the past year, it is especially important to take good care of our mental health during times like the HSC which can be particularly stressful for some.

“At Headspace, we focus on the seven tips for a healthy headspace, which can help students and parents look after their wellbeing.”

In alignment with the NSW Government’s roadmap and health advice, participants over 16 years old will need to be fully vaccinated to access the library.
