MEDIA RELEASE 2022 - Changes designed to make it easier for customers to navigate Council’s website and find the information they need have begun, with a new look website scheduled for launch at the end of February.
19 January 2022
Changes designed to make it easier for customers to navigate Council’s website and find the information they need have begun, with a new look website scheduled for launch at the end of February.
Council’s Communication and Events Manager, Emily Harrison said in preparation for the launch, pages on the current site are being moved into a refined menu structure over the last two weeks of January.
“Our goal is to complete the transition to a new, easier-to use-website by late February and part of that involves rearranging the location of some pages in line with our new, simpler main menu structure,” Ms Harrison said.
“As we do this, website users might find the content they’re used to accessing has moved, or they might get an error message if they’ve bookmarked a page.
“If this happens to you, please use the main menus or the website search function to find the information you need.”
As well as a new menu structure, the new website will have a more contemporary look and feel, and new short cut features on the homepage including quick links to popular services, news, public notices and have your say.
“The changes are being made to address feedback we’ve received from the community over time, through questions our staff have been asked by customers and search feedback received through the website,” Ms Harrison said.
The current menu structure will be consolidated into four new menus: Community, Services, Business and Council.
