Residents and visitors to Bermagui will have noticed the previously tired streetscape has undergone a makeover that has been welcomed by all.
Council’s Bermagui Town Team have made simple yet notable improvements to the town’s main streets. They have replaced the weathered sections of post and rail and given them a fresh coat of paint. In addition, they have refurbished the bin stands and seating with new timber and made improvements to the footpaths.
Councils Chief Executive Officer, Anthony McMahon said he is proud of the works the dedicated crews are doing.
“Their latest work is a testament to their hard work and dedication to improving our towns. It is the latest piece of significant improvement work council crews have completed in Bermagui. This follows the brilliant work our civil crew did at the multi-purpose, outdoor basketball and netball courts”, Mr McMahon said.
“We’ve received positive feedback from Bermagui’s local business community who are glad to see the improvements they’ve been advocating for take shape.
“This is a good example of where modest work can make a big difference and although many would love to see a full upgrade of the area, improvements like these have a significant, positive impact.
“Our works crews have a few other developments happening soon for Bermagui and other parts of the Bega Valley, so watch this space”.
