Rixons Bridge Upgrade

Council is replacing the existing single lane timber bridge with a single lane concrete bridge as it is due for renewal.

Project background and purpose

The timber abutments for Rixon’s Bridge, on Wallagoot Lane, have deteriorated to the point of needing replacement. The existing timber bridge will be replaced with a one span, single-lane concrete bridge to improve the asset’s lifespan, lower maintenance costs, and increase flood and fire resilience.   

Funding

This project is funded by Council.
