Connection to Council's Community Strategic Plan

Feedback from the Pambula and Merimbula area in response to the “Understanding Our Place” community engagement process, which subsequently informed the Community Strategic Plan (CSP), included “improved recreation facilities and spaces”. This feedback links to CSP Outcome 1 Active and Healthy Communities; specifically, the second goal of this outcome of “access to good quality recreation and sporting facilities”.

Project status

The construction design for this project is now complete and tenders are closed. Council is currently progressing the successful tenderer engagement with contracts to be signed before the end of 2022. Work is anticipated to start in July 2023 to avoid the peak boating period, and completion is anticipated by the end of September 2023. Council has liaised with key stakeholders within the Pambula Lake fishing and boating community to develop this design to ensure that what is being designed will best serve the boating and fishing community.
