Upgrade of park to include, play equipment, floodlighting, carpark and link pathways to viewing areas and pavilion.
The Bega Valley Shire Council were successful in receiving funds from the NSW Government under the Stronger Country Communities Fund program (Round 2) to upgrade the sportsground facilities at Lawrence Park, Tathra.

The purpose of this revitalisation project for Lawrence Park, Tathra sportsground is to upgrade the park to include, play equipment, floodlighting, carparking and link pathways to viewing areas and pavilion.
Funding was received from the NSW Government under the Stronger Country Communities Fund, Round 2.
Bega Valley Shire Council are also contributing to the overall budget.
This project is connect to Council's Community Strategic Plan through Outcome 1; Goal 2; Strategy 4.

The floodlighting aspect of this work was completed by Floodlighting Australia.
The construction of the carparking and driveway will be completed by the council’s works and asset team.
Minor disruption to the local area is expected during the construction, with associated risks mitigated using suitable temporary traffic management.
Signage will also be posted and avoidance of the car park for the duration of the works is appreciated.
