Project Summary/background

The Bega Valley Shire Council were successful in receiving funds from the NSW Government under the Stronger Country Communities Fund program (Round 2) to upgrade the sportsground facilities at Lawrence Park, Tathra.

The following scopes of work has been delivered at the site:

  • Installation of play equipment
  • Removal existing floodlight poles and redundant infrastructure.
  • Design and installation of floodlighting for the AFL/Cricket field to training level of 50 lux.

The following scope of work is scheduled for completion June 2023:

  • Construction of carparking bays and driveway entrance to improve use of the site and to link pathways to viewing areas and sports pavilion.

Purpose

The purpose of this revitalisation project for Lawrence Park, Tathra sportsground is to upgrade the park to include, play equipment, floodlighting, carparking and link pathways to viewing areas and pavilion.

Funding

Funding was received from the NSW Government under the Stronger Country Communities Fund, Round 2. 

Bega Valley Shire Council are also contributing to the overall budget.
