Deliver new double lane cricket net training facilities at Eden, Wolumla and Tathra cricket clubs.
This project will deliver new double lane cricket net training facilities at three cricket clubs within the Bega Valley Shire region.
The cricket training nets at the Eden, Wolumla and Tathra cricket clubs have been identified as needing replacement. They currently receive minimal or no usage due to their deteriorated condition.
The new facilities will not only improve player skills, but are also expected to help retain current players and, importantly, attract new ones. The cricket net training facilities will also be available for use by the general public.
This project is funded by a $241,000 grant through the NSW Government Stronger Country Communities Fund.
This project aligns with Bega Valley Shire Council Community Strategic Plan through:
D - Our Infrastructure
D.4 - Plan for, develop and maintain sport and recreation spaces and facilities
