Candelo John Gordon Recreation Reserve Pavilion Renovation

Renovation works to the existing multi-purpose pavilion building at Candelo John Gordon Reserve.

Candelo John Gordon Recreation Reserve Pavilion Renovation.

Project Summary

The Candelo John Gordon Recreation Reserve Pavilion is a multi-purpose facility used by several community groups, including the Candelo Market Committee, Candelo Show Society, Candelo Bemboka Rugby League Football Club, Sapphire Mobile Preschool, Candelo Playgroup, Candelo Little Athletics and the Candelo Tennis Club.

The building's condition has deteriorated over time and the facility required renovation works to ensure it remained fit for purpose. The required upgrades included improvements to the kitchen, replacement of internal doors, floor sealing, painting and minor plumbing and electrical works.

Additional storage capacity and external works including picnic area, landscaping and play area upgrades complement the internal renovation and improve the overall facility condition for enjoyment by all user groups.

Funding

This project was funded by a $194,195 grant through the NSW Government Stronger Country Communities Fund.
