Reduced hours at Merimbula Waste and Recycling Centre
Bega Valley Shire Council will close the Merimbula Waste and Recycling Centre for an hour each operational day from Saturday 4 May until Wednesday 22 May.

Bega Valley Shire Council will close the Merimbula Waste and Recycling Centre for an hour each operational day from Saturday 4 May until Wednesday 22 May.
The hour-long closure will be between 12pm and 1pm on the centre’s normal opening days of Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The move will free-up a member of staff to be available at other waste and recycling centres, eliminating the need to close facilities while a staff shortage is addressed.
Steps are being made to restore staffing levels to a satisfactory state at the shire’s waste and recycling centres, with three positions currently being advertised.
