Bega Valley Shire Council advises road resurfacing works are scheduled to commence on Ocean Drive, Merimbula from Tuesday 15 October, weather permitting.

As part of Council’s repair and maintenance program, road resurfacing safeguards road infrastructure investments and contributes to a more sustainable transport network.

These works will strengthen and extend the life of the existing road surface, improving driving conditions and safety for all road users.

The works will be carried out between 7am and 5pm each day and are expected to take two days to complete.

Contractors will be renewing the road surface from the intersection of Elizabeth Street and the roundabout at the end of Ocean Drive.

Changed traffic conditions will be in place for the duration of the works, including a reduced speed limit of 40km per hour.

Road users should expect minor delays.

On-street parking will not be available during working hours.

Access to sections of the road will be restricted at different points in time.

Traffic control will be on-site to help road users access their homes or businesses.

Where possible, please advise the traffic control or crew member of where you need to go, and assistance will be provided.

We thank you for your patience while these important works are undertaken.
