Bega Valley Shire Council advises flood recovery works have been extended on Tantawangalo Creek Bridge, on West Kameruka Road, due to additional restoration works required for sealed road infrastructure on the northern side.

The works are now expected to be completed by Monday 12 August, weather permitting.

Works will continue to be carried out from 6am to 6pm each weekday. Weekend work may be required intermittently between 7am and 1pm.

A road closure remains in place at Tantawangalo Creek Bridge on West Kameruka Road.

For resident access, vehicles are advised to detour via Niagara Lane.

There is a temporary 33 tonne bridge limit on Sandy Creek Bridge during the period of works at Tantawangalo Creek Bridge.

Heavy vehicle drivers are advised to detour via Mogilla Road for access to Candelo, and via Snowy Mountains Highway for access to Bega.

Signs are in place. Road users should allow extra travel time.

Council thanks the community for their patience while these important works are undertaken.

Assistance is being provided through the jointly funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
