Wolumla Flood Study and Risk Management Study and Plan

Bega Valley Shire Council is seeking community input into the Wolumla Flood Study and Risk Management Study and Plan.

Project background and purpose

Bega Valley Shire Council is developing a Flood Study and a subsequent Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan for Wolumla.

The purpose of this study is to define existing flood behaviour and flood risk and to develop and assess options to manage and/or mitigate flood risk within the study area.

Why we need your help

Council is seeking your feedback in order to ensure that the study delivers useful information, not just for Council, but for other stakeholders, we wanted to take this opportunity to ask you the following survey questionnaire.

This survey will take about 10 minutes and your feedback will help us plan and manage existing and future flood risks in the area.

Council also wishes to identify viable flood marks for survey to help calibrate the relevant flood models to be developed, identify potential candidates for a community representative on a Floodplain Risk Management Focus Group to support the project and gather community attitudes and awareness regarding flood risk.
